What’s happening to TONY?

Hey folks,

You certainly noticed that T IS FOR…, the third book in the Grover Beach Team series wasn’t available on Amazon for a while. Here’s why:

The GBT series was originally meant to be one of novellas and short novels. T IS FOR… with its more than 100,000 words was far too long to fit into that scheme, but I dared an exception. However, when I translated that book into German, the result was an additional 20% in word count. There was no other way than to split the German edition in half. And to stay consistent in numbering the Grover Beach Team books in all languages, I made a severe decision. I also split the English edition after release.

There are no changes in the story or the chapter structure!

The title of book 1 is the same, T IS FOR…

I’ll give out a fair warning with the summary of both books on every internet retailer and sales platform. Customers, who actually read the blurb before buying a book, will notice what’s going on. Some will of course ignore the warnings, but there’s nothing I can do about that.

I put some serious thought into the book covers, too. Both show the same picture, but the first is kept in black and white. This way you will know the books belong together but are really two books you need to get.

tony 1 KINDLE  kiss 2 KINDLE

My apologies, if these changes confuse you. If you downloaded T IS FOR… before July 2014, don’t buy the books again. You’ll find nothing new in them. If you buy them anyway, please don’t hold me responsible. Amazon will let you return the books within two weeks and refund you the money as is a general rule for the retailer.

The book you want to buy next is DATING TROUBLE, book 5 in the series. Although this one is really long again, I’m not going to split it, I promise. I’ll handle it the same way as Play With Me & Ryan Hunter – you’ll get the counter POV of the guy in an extra book (Grover Beach Team, 6).

Again, I’m sorry for any confusions related to the splitting of T IS FOR… but I hope you can forgive me.

  1. Hey anna i have a question. I know ive been crazy about gettin a book 4 free but i get why u cant do that. But could u consider putting just the scene where ryan and liza kiss on ur blog 2 read free. Its not much is it. Fingers crossed u will!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
P.s. What happened 2 ur excerpts they’re shorter!!!!!!!!!! AAAAAHHHH!!!!!!!!

  2. Sorry no. Being a writer is my full time job now. I’m working about 14 hours a day on my books. If I give it all away for free, and even just the good parts, no one would buy my books and then I’d have to go back to a day job and won’t be able to write books anymore. Which again would make thousands of people and myself quite sad, I think…

  3. Hi Anna,

I was shopping for your books on amazon and i was wondering if you knew why “T is for…” is more than double the price of all the other books in the series in PB? At first i thought it was book 3-4 together but it’s not the case and the new book is around 9$ like book 1 & 2. 18.99$ for a 214 pages is kind of a little bit excessive, even the Grover beach team companion is not that expensive and it’s 2 books in one! Sorry to bother you with that it’s just that i was surprised when i saw the price.

  4. Thank you for pointing that out! The price was for the teamed up books 3 & 4 but I had Amazon retire that book and set the new editions for $8 or so each. There must have been a mistake. I’ll set that right immediately.

  5. That should be the full version. Does it have an epilog? Then you know it’s the full. Does it say: To be continued, then it’s not, but with over 400 pages it should defo be the full version.
Also, the update was quite a while ago, and you said you only bought it recently, so all should be good. 🙂

  6. Yes i have the epilogie and when i compared the book to the 2 ebooks i have it looks like i have the whole story, but i wanted to be sure! Thank you for taking the time to answer, i really appreciate it! :o)
